Device Preparation Overview

Important: Remove All Accounts

We cannot accept devices with accounts still logged in. You must remove all accounts (iCloud, Google, Samsung) and perform a factory reset before sending your device.

How to Remove iCloud Account / Find My iPhone

For iOS 10.3 and Later

Follow these steps to completely remove your iCloud account and Find My iPhone:

  1. 1. Go to Settings your name
  2. 2. Scroll down and tap Sign Out
  3. 3. Turn off Find My iPhone when prompted
  4. 4. Enter your Apple ID password to confirm
  5. 5. Choose what data to keep on your device (we recommend keeping nothing)

For iOS 10.2 and Earlier

For older iOS versions, follow these steps:

  1. 1. Go to SettingsiCloud
  2. 2. Tap Sign Out
  3. 3. Tap Delete from device
  4. 4. Sign out of iTunes & App Store
  5. 5. Go to Settings General Transfer or Reset
  6. 6. Tap Erase All Content & Settings

How to Remove Google Account

Android Devices

Follow these steps to remove your Google account:

  1. 1. Go to Settings Accounts
  2. 2. Tap Google
  3. 3. Tap the account you want to remove
  4. 4. Tap Remove account
  5. 5. Confirm removal when asked
  6. 6. Repeat for any additional Google accounts

How to Remove Samsung Account

Samsung Devices

Follow these steps to remove your Samsung account:

  1. 1. Go to Settings Accounts & backup
  2. 2. Tap Accounts
  3. 3. Tap Samsung account
  4. 4. Tap the three dots menu (⋮)
  5. 5. Tap Sign out
  6. 6. Enter your password to confirm

Removing / Wiping Data (Factory Reset)

iPhone Factory Reset

  1. 1. Unpair Apple Watch (if applicable)
  2. 2. Back up your device
  3. 3. Sign out of iCloud & App Store
  4. 4. Go to Settings → General → Reset
  5. 5. Tap "Erase All Content & Settings"
  6. 6. Enter passcodes if needed
  7. 7. Deregister iMessage (if moving to non-Apple)
  8. 8. Remove SIM card

Samsung/Android Factory Reset

  1. 1. Go to Settings → System
  2. 2. Tap "Reset options"
  3. 3. Tap "Erase all data (factory reset)"
  4. 4. If PIN or password is active, enter it
  5. 5. Tap "Erase all data"
  6. 6. Confirm erasure
  7. 7. Wait for reset to complete
  8. 8. Remove SIM card

Identify My Device (Model / IMEI)

How to Find Your Device Information

To sell your device, you need to search by model or IMEI. Here's how to find this information:

iPhone

  • • Settings → General → About
  • • Look for "Model" & "IMEI"
  • • Or dial *#06# for IMEI

Samsung/Android

  • • Settings → About phone
  • • Shows IMEI, model, serial
  • • Or dial *#06# for IMEI

What happens if I don't remove my accounts?

We cannot accept devices with accounts still logged in. If you send a device with accounts, we'll need to return it to you, and you'll be responsible for return shipping costs.

Do I need to remove my SIM card?

Yes, you should remove your SIM card before sending your device. Keep it safe as you'll need it for your new device.

What if I can't find my device model?

If you can't find your device model in our search, try using the IMEI number instead. You can find this by dialing *#06# on your device.

Should I back up my data before factory reset?

Yes, we strongly recommend backing up your data before performing a factory reset. Once the reset is complete, all data will be permanently deleted.
